Mercedes-Benz Service A Intervals

Although the first Service A visit typically occurs at approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year, the exact time will be determined by the FSS. If you own a Mercedes-Benz from model year 2009 or newer*, here are the services you can expect our service technicians to perform during Service A: Mercedes-Benz synthetic motor oil replacement** Oil filter replacement Tire inflation check and correction All fluid level checks and corrections are based on manufacturer-recommended service intervals Brake component inspection Reset maintenance counter After the initial Service A visit, Service A will be required every 20,000 miles or 2 years. Service B will be recommended at 20,000 miles or 2 years and every 20,000 or 2 years for the remaining lifespan of your vehicle..

Mercedes-Benz Service B Intervals

The Flexible Service System, or FSS, will inform you when it’s time for a Service B interval. Service B intervals typically come after Service A, and are recommended for the duration of your ownership. You can expect to take your Mercedes-Benz in for Service B at 20,000 miles or after 2 years. If you own a vehicle from the model year 2009 or newer*, here is a list of auto services that will be performed during the Service B interval: Mercedes-Benz synthetic motor oil replacement** Oil filter change Brake component evaluation Fluid level checks and refills per Mercedes-Benz recommended service intervals for your vehicle's year and model Brake fluid exchange Cabin filter replacement Tire (including spare) pressure corrections and, if applicable, tire pressure monitoring system reset Fulfillment of requirements for your vehicle's year and model, as shown on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA Maintenance counter reset It’ll be easy to determine when your vehicle needs service, thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Maintenance system. One month prior to an upcoming service, this system will display a message in your multi-function instrument cluster, so that you’ll never miss a service date.

The Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System

The Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System, which is found in all late-model Mercedes-Benz vehicles, is intended to help you prepare for future Service A and B visits. It keeps track of the distance you’ve traveled, as well as the time in between your service appointments. When you’re nearing the end of the Service A or B interval, you’ll notice a message in your multi-function instrument cluster, letting you know how many days or miles remain until your vehicle is due for service.
